Question
How did you first become interested in Real Estate? - What is your background?
Answer
I was a single mother of 4, real estate offered me the opportunity to earn enough to support my family while working flexible hours. My love of fine homes in addition to my passion to help my clients locate their dream home made real estate a perfect fit for me. As a visionary I was able to clearly see the big picture potential of this business opportunity, I set my goals and committed to seeing each through. My real estate business pursuits eventually led me to cross paths with Dr. Rutherford, a top CT and NY oncologist. Dr. Rutherford , a real estate investor / developer , offered me a helping hand in getting started as a broker in real estate. This was a huge stepping stone for me because at the time I was a struggling single parent just barley making ends meet. Together we overcame many obstacles and established a thriving brokerage. Many factors influenced my decision to establish operations in Waterbury. In addition to a binding franchise agreement with specific territory rights to Waterbury, I was committed to taking part in the cities redevelopment efforts. My ties to the City of Waterbury are strong. My grandparents Chiriana and Donato Fusco had left Pontelandolfo Italy in the 1920's to pursue the American dream. They soon established roots in cities North End. A driving force to their decision to come to Waterbury was to take part in the cities once bustling brass industry. In 1952 my mother, a citizen of Ireland, left Dublin and all of its hardships to pursue opportunities in America. She boarded a boat destined for America to come to Waterbury to live with her uncle who had arrived in Waterbury years earlier to pursue opportunities that were so prevalent in the "Brass Center of the World." He lived in the cities south end and worked in Waterbury?s public school system. My mother became very homesick and took a position at Lux Clock to earn her fare back to Ireland. Lux clock was a manufacturing company located in Waterbury that mass produced clocks and kitchen timers until 1941, at which time they manufactured war related products. It was through working at Lux Clock that my mother met, fell in love with, and soon married my father Rudolfo Fusco. When the brass industry collapsed in the 1970?s the city began its economic decline. In the mid 70?s Connecticut Magazine described Waterbury as a ?dying city?. Waterbury hit its all time rock bottom when in 1992 Money Magazine rated 300 Metropolitan areas for their quality of life, Waterbury came in at #300. Recent attempts to redevelop Waterbury have been successful to a small degree. There are hundreds of abandoned factories still standing erect throughout the city and surrounding towns. The high cost of clean up is keeping many investors away. A huge conglomerate is needed to come into the city of Waterbury with the resources necessary to make a major contribution. In addition to Waterbury?s charm, it is conveniently located and easily accessible to the cities of, Danbury, Hartford, Bridgeport, and New Haven CT and is situated between NY City and Boston MA.

Question
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Answer
My focus is on rebuilding lives devastated by the mortgage crisis and great recession. People who have lost their jobs are now facing financial crises and many are stuck in a mortgage that they can not pay. If what is owed on a mortgage is greater than what the home can sell for in today's market then selling it as a short sale may be an option to preventing foreclosure while maintaining some credit worthiness. I am committed to helping CT homeowners rebuild their credit through the successful short sale of their home. I am also committed to helping first time buyers and investors locate ideal properties. The current market is a buyer's market and the perfect time to secure an investment in real estate. Prices are low, many banks are anxious to unload the high number of foreclosure and short sale properties. Don?t wait as early intervention is key to a successful short sale.Call me today to get started.
